The pool was designed specifically with the teaching of canoeing in mind. The depth allows an instructor to stand comfortably alongside the canoe whilst the pupil still has room to practice high level skills such as rolling.
It is not only in the pool that you can have fun canoeing. Immediately outside the Academy we have a small, sheltered pond area where students can perfect their paddle strokes in the safe confines of our centre. In addition they may play some rafting games or experience the thrill of pier jumping from the walkway.
Flat water, white-water and surf are all options so whatever your ability you will have a great day with a centre of excellence for sea kayaking.

Special instructions
Minimum age is 8. Where possible groups will be of a similar age range. Must be able to swim 50 metres and be water confident.
