Christmas Eve
24th December 2008
On arrival at the hotel you will be personally greeted by our Concierge, and escorted to your room. Traditional Afternoon Tea will be served in our Drawing Room. Afterwards why not relax and unwind in the Spa or discover the beautiful city of Bath and the surrounding countryside?
Early evening, there’s the opportunity to meet your fellow house guests over drinks followed by dinner in the elegant surroundings of the Vellore Restaurant. After dinner you may wish to retire early or perhaps enjoy a digestif in the Drawing Room.
Christmas Day
25th December 2008
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the Vellore Restaurant or you may choose to take breakfast in your room.
The Spa is open for you to relax or perhaps treat yourself to a Christmas massage! Bath has so much to offer, so why not enjoy a relaxing walk around the city or take a drive and discover the stunning countryside?
We are planning to break with tradition and will be serving a spectacular lunch buffet in the Avon Room where Executive Head Chef, Giles Stonehouse, and his brigade will tantalise your taste buds like never before!
Traditional Christmas cake will be served in the Drawing Room with your choice of leaf tea or a freshly brewed cafetière of coffee… then the highlight of the day – Traditional Christmas Dinner, served in the Vellore Restaurant, the original ballroom of the house.
Boxing Day
26th December 2008
After breakfast you have the rest of the day to spend how you desire! Take the opportunity to relax in the Spa or the Drawing Room, or visit the many attractions in and around the city – our Concierge will be happy to advise you of opening times.
A must for Boxing Day is the pantomime at the Theatre Royal Bath, this year’s performance will be Jack and the Beanstalk. (We have reserved a limited number of tickets – this will be an extra cost of £24 per ticket, available on a first come, first served basis).
Relax in the Alfresco Restaurant or the Vellore Restaurant and enjoy a delicious lunch. (Not inclusive)
Join your fellow guests in the Drawing Room for pre-dinner drinks followed by our Black Tie Gala Dinner in the Vellore Restaurant.

By Road
Exit the M4 at J.18 and take the A46 to Bath until the major roundabout - approximately 8 miles.
At the roundabout turn right joining the A4 and follow the signs for City Centre.
At the first major set of traffic lights turn left following the signs for the A36. Follow the road over Cleveland Bridge and past the fire station. At the next set of traffic lights after the pedestrian crossing turn right then next left after Holburne Museum into Sydney Place. The entrance to the hotel is 200 yards on your right hand side.
