ZSL London Zoo, in the heart of the capital has over 12,000 amazing animals for you to see. During the last three years ZSL London Zoo has been undergoing a raft of changes to "bring down the bars" and allow visitors to get closer to an astonishing 650 species of animal.

Highlights include Meet the Monkeys, Butterfly Paradise and Into Africa while you can also experience an 'Animals in Action' display - 30 minutes of flying, foraging and leaping action with animals showing their amazing natural skills and abilities. Young visitors (or the young at heart!) can enjoy an encounter with farmyard favourites at the touch paddock in the Children's Zoo. Two major new attractions, Gorilla Kingdom and Clore Rainforest Lookout opened in 2007 and are proving incredibly popular - both get you closer than ever to primates of Africa and South America respectively.

Special directions
Nearest Station: Camden Town (Northern Line). Follow the signs up Parkway to the Zoo (15 minute walk). Please note that passengers cannot travel from Camden Town station between 13.00 and 17.30 on Sundays.
Regent's Park underground station (Bakerloo Line) can be reached by walking south across Regent's Park (15-20 minute walk) or by catching a 274 bus.
